Registration and Program Details
The smart sensor pilot program is currently free of charge for qualifying Westfield policyholders for two years. No payment information is required to enroll and there are no monthly fees, subscription costs, or installation fees.
No, participation in the pilot program does not impact your Westfield insurance coverage, premium, or discount eligibility.
Once registered, you will receive emails from HSB to confirm your enrollment and set up an installation appointment. You’ll also need to download the Meshify Protect app via the
App Store or
Google Play Store to create your account and activate your sensors.
The sensors are powered by a CR123A battery and use a cellular connection, so they will continue to monitor your business in the event of a power loss.
CR123A batteries can be purchased from most major retailers and online. You can also check the battery levels of your sensors through the Meshify Protect app and receive notifications when the battery level is low.
When an issue is detected, a text or email notification is sent to the contacts you designated during activation. If conditions are severe (e.g., water is detected or temperatures are dangerously low), the Sensor Support Team will call you or the contacts you identify directly.
You are responsible for taking action to address any detected issues.
Yes, you can change who gets the alerts by updating your contacts on the Meshify Protect app.
Prior to the end of the initial two-year service period, Westfield will communicate any potential program updates. There is no obligation to continue the service.
Sensor Solutions by HSB is SOC 2 certified, meaning HSB takes extra measures to secure your personal and/or business’s data.
The data collected by the sensors and equipment relates only to the environment at your location, such as temperature and humidity levels, and does not include any information that can identify you.
The collected data is encrypted and transmitted via an independent LoRaWAN cellular network independent from your Wi-Fi network.
